Pastured Duroc Half Hog~Deposit
This deposit reserves your half (or whole if you buy 2) hog
Total price for entire portion to be calculated at pickup; processing paid separately
Basic Info:
A half hog costs between $450-$650 depending on their weight and your processing selection.
Hanging weights tend to range from 245-300#
You get to pick the cuts you’d like. Cut sheets are due 1 week before slaughter.
You’ll take possession of your pork roughly 2 weeks after the slaughter date.
You’ll need a chest freezer.
We charge $4.50/lb for a half hog. $4.25/lb for a whole hog. Processing cost is in addition to the hanging weight cost.
Hogs are really awesome animals; They’re a lot like dogs. They’re actually a pretty clean animal when you give them enough space. We raise our hogs on pasture. Rotated through the pasture properly, they too help improve the land. We raise a breed that is a heritage cross. Their lineage includes Berkshire, Duroc, and Tamworth to mention a few. We’re happy to help with cut selection. Our pork chops are the best you’ll ever taste.
